Here is a photo I took of my cousin last semester in my photography class. I thought this was a very appropriate image to convey the human form blending into nature. From here, I'm going to add a thick forest around here (on the computer). Then I will transfer the image onto a wood canvas that I'll build myself. I'll transfer the image by applying a wet gel medium or paint and lay the printed image down on top of the paint/gel. I'll let it dry overnight then wipe away the paper leaving my image. There's a website I'm going off of- http://www.goldenpaints.com/artist/directransfer.php
After pasting this image, I'll add layers of gesso to create an illusion of depth for the forest feel. It'll be an abstract painting but the image will be fairly prominent. I'll be using lots of greens and earth tones.

For my final project, I'm wanting to blend the human form into nature. I'm going to take some images from a photography course I took last semester of my cousin modeling in the woods, warp them on photoshop, paste them onto a canvas and paint my representation of nature. I want to have an abstract green forest surrounding her bare form.

Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them - that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.

To make my image not so convoluted and busy, I'm going to represent my idea of the butterfly effect with a zen approach, tying in with Taoism. I'll be representing this idea symbolically with images of nature and how natural changes/decisions create the world we live in.
